If you realized that you have no eggs in your home, don’t worry. There are substitutes (yes, plural) that you may use to continue making your recipe. Here are some tricks you may use to get egg-like texture or taste:

1 tbsp ground flax + 3 tbsp water = 1 egg
1 tbsp soy protein + 3 tbsp water = 1 egg
1/2 mashed banana = 1 egg
3 tbsp Peanut butter = 1 egg
1 tbsp agar agar + 1 tbsp water = 1 egg

#2. Got no time for whipping?

Don’t let the absence of rolling pin stopping you from rolling. Use a clean wine bottle (preferably empty) to flatten up that dough. Make sure you pat the bottle with flour first.

Rock-hard brown sugar has no use in the recipes. You have to break it down before you can use it. Here’s an easy way to do that. Break brown sugar as much as you can, put it in a microwave-safe bowl and cover it with a damp paper towel. Run for 30 seconds, remove the paper towel, and mush it up with a fork. Easy-peasy!

Note: Use it before the sugar goes back to its original form again!

#6. Who wants flawlessly cut-out cookies?
