The thing about hunger is it can appear at any time of the day and night, and it is your unhealthy binging that is causing you to gain weight. You can’t fight hunger pangs. So, how do you fight it? The answer is – with healthy snacking. Snack so good and healthy that it has no ill consequences on your figure and at the same time you replenish your body with essential nutrients.

But what are some good healthy snacks?

Here are a few ideas for you next time you head to the kitchen to fix yourself a snack when it is hunger-o-clock.

 

1. Greek Yogurt with Mixed Berries

If you are making a face on hearing yogurt, this means that you have never tried it. Yogurt is a great source of calcium, potassium, and protein. So, it does qualify for a healthy adult snack. Add in a few of your favorite berries like strawberry or blueberry and your body will be replenished with antioxidants.

 

2. Cottage Cheese with Flax Seeds

If it has protein, it is a healthy snack. And guess what? Cottage cheese has a lot of protein and good fatty acids. Combine it with flax seeds and a sprinkle of cinnamon and what you get is a power-packed snack. This could be your dinner if you are trying to lose weight. Flax seeds and cinnamon both control blood sugar and help with weight loss.

3. Dark Chocolate & Almonds

5. Cherry Tomatoes & Mozzarella

6. Hard-boiled eggs

When you can’t think of anything for a good snack, just boil some eggs in a good old-fashioned way and kill those hunger pangs. There can nothing be more fulfilling and healthier than eggs, especially when you are trying to lose some weight. They reduce the intake of calories for hours which you would have consumed with unhealthy snacking. So, whenever you wonder what to eat as a healthy snack, just peel some boiled eggs.

 

7. Mixed Nuts
