February just whizzed past most of us and those who missed out New Years eve 2018 can now enjoy welcoming the year of ‘The Earth Pig’. Even if you did have a boisterous party come 2019, the entrance of the Earth Pig is definitely something you want to celebrate. Here’s why.

It is common among most parts of the world to associate pigs with dirt, disgrace, laziness and a whole lot of other negative connotations. The Chinese however, have a different take on this. It is said that most Chinese zodiac pigs are philanthropic and sensible in their way of mind. The People born under the sign of ‘The Pig’ are generally kind, loyal, generous and pretty much prosperous.

Yep, prosperity is what ‘The Pig’ most prominently stands for. Given that Chinese zodiac pigs, are calm and peaceful by nature; the year of the pig is considered a wonderful thing.

The pig is the last sign in the Chinese zodiac. 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, and 2019 were and are, all years of the Pig. In Chinese culture the Pig denoted ample wealth and treasures. It is something the Chinese are very excited about this new year, as it foretells a prosperous and peaceful 2019.
