This Breakfast Every Morning Would Help You Lose Weight Faster

It goes without saying that breakfast is the most important meal of your day. So, picking the right breakfast that is healthy and nutritious is expected from you.

Moreover, we don’t have to specifically mention the importance of the right breakfast in your weight loss journey. You’re advised not to skip it, ever.

And a recently published study in the Annals of Nutrition & Metabolism found that the best possible variant for the right breakfast is oatmeal.

It was based on each participant consuming 350 calories for breakfast. The first group received oatmeal, while the second one ate cornflakes, the lunch was the same for all. 3 hours later, researchers analyzed their blood samples to keep a check on their blood sugar and insulin levels.

It was found that participants in the first group had no food cravings through the morning and afternoon, and consumed 31% fewer calories for lunch as compared to the other groups. Additionally, those people consumed 50% fewer calories for lunch. Therefore, oatmeal is the most beneficial breakfast, especially for people who want to lose weight.

On the other hand, participants from the second group felt hungry after 3 hours. Plus, cornflakes produce high concentrations of blood glucose levels and spike blood sugar levels.

Numerous studies back oatmeal as the best choice for your breakfast. And, you can add them to various side dishes, salads, and many desserts.

Here are some health benefits of oats as breakfast:

  • A feeling of satiety

Oats are rich in fiber which prevents cravings and gives a feeling of fullness. Fiber also promotes weight loss by helping in the digestion process.

  • Lowers Blood Pressure

Oats help in regulating blood pressure, as they contain vegetable fiber, lignan which has been proven to lower blood pressure by 30%.

  • Reduces Cholesterol

The fiber in oatmeal binds to fat in the body, which significantly reduces bad cholesterol levels. So, lowers the risk of any heart disease.

  • Lowers the Risk of Cancer

The British Medical Journal published a study showing that oats lower the risk of colon, prostate, breast, and ovarian cancer.
