This was perhaps one of the biggest films of the year. Bringing to an end a whole series of mvoies in the MCU(Marvel Comic Universe). The grand finale was something to see and grossed around a whopping $2.796 billion at the box office, replacing “AVATAR” at the top of the list of blockbusters.

Released in 2009, this blockbuster hit a whopping $2.790 billion at the box office. The film was apparently such a huge hit that there are severalĀ  sequels in the works scheduled for release in 2021 now.

#3 Titanic

James Cameron’s initial hit film before AVATAR. Titanic remains an undisputed classic in the world of cinema. Upon release in 1997, it grossed a groundbreaking $2.188 billion at the box office.

 

#4 Avengers: Infinity War

For those of you who haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity war (2018), this is your cue. This is one remarkable film that will leave you speechless, tying into multiple characters and movies from the MCU universe, it was no surprise that this film grossed about $2.048 billion.

#5 Jurassic World

Sequel to the hit series, Jurrasic Park, Jurrasic world (2015) hit a decent $1.672 billion at the box office. And in case you’re wondering, there is no redundancy or repetition of the storyline from the previous hit movie series, this is a whole new Dinosaur if you get what I mean.

#6 The Lion King

Who does not love Lion King? Seriously? A classic tale of redemption and taking back what’s rightfully yours, this story of the underdog who owns his place and rules, in the end, will leave you in a pile of happy tears. Lion King was recently released (2019) progressing from 2D animation to 3D and we’re all lucky to have seen this. This movie collected a whopping $1.473 billion at the box office.

#7 Black Panther

A secret Kingdom with mindblowing technology, magic, mystery and a lot of jawdropping scenes, Black Panther is one of the most celebrated Marvel movies of our time. The hit movie was released in 2018 and grossed $1.347 billion at the box office.

#8 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Sequel to Jurrasic World, this movie brings to a conclusion a long list of infamous Jurassic Park series. With twists of genetic engineering, mutation, and spine chilling Dino-human scenes, this movie is bound to take your breath away. The movie grossed a neat $1.310 billion at the box office.

#9 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

The grand ending to the most celebrated movie series based on a J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter series. If you haven’t watched the Harry Potter series, you should now. The film, released in 2011 and grossed about $ 1.342 billion at the box office.

#10 Aquaman
