Nicki Minaj and Cradi B have known to be rivals in the rap world. Tying them both together on social media beings nothing but the worst. Here’s what happened this Grammys.
Cardi B’s historic win
Rapper and hip-hop icon Cardi B was awarded best rap album for Invasion of Privacy. Cardi has now become the first female rapper and solo artist to bag this award in the category. Cardi’s fans were obviously jubilant about this, as was she. However, someone at BET (definitely a Cardi fan) decided to throw shade Nicki’s way. Here’s what they posted on twitter about the rapper’s celebrated win.

The tweet was linked to an article posted on the wesbite. The tweet has now been removed from the microblogging site. BET.com’s sarcastic tweet surely landed them in a whole lot of trouble. It caught the very attention of Nicki Minaj.

Nicki Minaj has remained the reigning Queen of rap for over a decade now. However, despite her long presence in the industry, the lack of a Grammy award seems to puzzle her fans quite a bit. Come Grammys 2019, her new album Queen garnered little or no attention from the award committee. Following the sharp tweet from BET.com, here’s what the hit Anaconda rapper had to say in conversation with Lil Wayne:

Cardi B’s reaction
BET.com didn’t go unnoticed by Grammy winner Cardi for too long. Following the tweet throwing shade at Nicki, the rapper said that she is not in support of BET.com’s opinions. Cardi also received a whole lot of backlash post BET’s tweet, from what we can safely assume to be Nicki’s fans? Most of them accused Cardi of not being worth the award she was receiving.
Cardi finally snapped after a year of public and secret bullying. And now she’s the bad person? No. There is only so much a person is going to take. Especially when all she’s been doing is working her ASS OFF and living her best life. Jealousy is a nasty ego trait.

Some even claimed that NIcki Minaj is the forever reigning Queen of rap and that Cardi B lacks class in her demeanour compared to Minaj. BET’s tweet just deepened the rift between the two rappers. Cardi and Nicki have forever been rivals and it seems like a sneaky move, in making the two rap giants’ feud even bigger. Cardi B later addressed all the hate she was receving.

Following this, Cardi B deleted her instagram account.

Nicki Minaj has to realise that she can’t be the queen of rap forever. She’s been there for over 10years. She should understand it’s Cardi B’s time and allow her to shine. Cardi B has got the global music industry on lockdown. No amount of bitching can stop Cardi’s fame.

Some even questioned why Nicki never bagged a Grammy, to which the rapper replied:
I pissed off the same man Ariana just called out for lying. Grammy producer KEN. I was bullied into staying quiet for 7 years out of fear. But I’ll tell my fans the REAL on the next episode of #QueenRadio they deserve the truth. Also, CONGRATS to everyone who won last night.
Later, BET apologised for the offensive tweet. We just have to wait and see how this unfolds now.
