Health reports from hospitals of New York have brought another grim fact that has people worried.
It was found that Coronavirus has been causing sudden strokes in young adults, nd it can happen even when they don’t show any outward sign of illness.
New York hospitals are getting young Coronavirus patients who got sudden strokes

Dr. Thomas Oxley of Mount Sinai Health System in New York, has said the COVID-19 is creating blood clots inside veins and arteries, and there is no way to know it until a stroke actually takes place.
Dr. Oxley and his team examined several patients at their hospitals. They found that all of these patients who were admitted after having a stroke, they all were infected with Coronavirus. But they said they had very mild symptoms or no symptoms at all prior to getting a stroke.
“The virus seems to be causing increased clotting in the large arteries, leading to severe stroke.”
Healthy people with no past medical history are getting sudden strokes

However, as it also happens that people are hesitant to call ambulance even after they feel sick, because they think ambulances and hospitals are dealing with severe Coronavirus patients, and they are not aware they also have Coronavirus.
“Our report shows a seven-fold increase in incidence of sudden stroke in young patients during the past two weeks. Most of these patients have no past medical history and were at home with either mild symptoms (or in two cases, no symptoms) of Covid.”
It can cause severe brain damage, paralysis, and death

Another surprising thing is that all these young people are having strokes in the large blood vessels of their brain. And people are unaware that a stroke in such a blood vessel of the brain can cause severe damage in the long run. It can also lead to brain damage or paralysis, and eventually to death.
Dr Oxley says that these kind of strokes need immediate treatment since the clot is being formed in the main arteries of the brain and that can damage a large part of the brain.
“The most effective treatment for large vessel stroke is clot retrieval, but this must be performed within 6 hours, and sometimes within 24 hours.”
Call an ambulance immediately if you have these symptoms

Doctors suggest that people should keep a careful eye on all the possible symptoms of Coronavirus infection, and if they get a stroke then they should immediately call an ambulance.
