Coronavirus, the deadly virus that sprung from the wild animal meat markets of China, has now spread to 40 countries. It is spreading faster in Europe than it was in China.
Netherlands, Estonia, and Denmark have confirmed their first cases while the disease has been taking more lives in Switzerland, Italy, and France. Greece, Switzerland, Israel report more and more infections
On the other hand, Iranian officials have been infected by the virus – including their Vice President.

So far the death toll has crossed 2,800 with more than 80,000 confirmed cases under treatment.
Iranian Vice President has contracted the virus
Iranian vice president of Women and Family Affairs, Masoumeh Ebtekar has been found positive for coronavirus. She is most famously known for rescuing the American hostages from the US Embassy in Iran, where she delegated with the kidnappers and managed to solve the conflict that lasted 444 days.
Iran’s Deputy Health Minister, a senior MP, and a former ambassador have also been affected and placed under quarantine. It just goes on to show that the virus does not discriminate between the common people and the one per cent.
So far, there have been 26 confirmed deaths in Iran, with an unconfirmed report of 50 more deaths – making the death tally the second highest after China.
France: Number of infections have doubled in last 24 hours
Total confirmed cases of infection in France are now at 38, out of which 2 have died, 12 were cured and 24 are still undergoing treatment.
Netherlands: First case of Coronavirus found
England and Ireland: 17 confirmed cases
On Thursday, 15 infected patients were reported while Northern Ireland reported two more who had travelled from Italy to Dublin.
Italy: Vatican closes itself to keep people out
As two more people die in Italy, and the Pope has fallen sick after meeting the coronavirus victims – spreading rumours that he might have contracted the infection – the Vatican has closed all the ancient catacombs and visiting spaces.
California, USA: 8,400 people under observation
California Governor has reported that they have kept 8,400 people under observation as they showed the symptoms of coronavirus after coming down from flights.
Facebook cancels all its conferences
Facebook hosts an annual event at the Silicon Valley where they invite thousands of software experts from all over the world. The conference has been cancelled due to the fear of viral infection spreading via travelling people.
Schools all over Japan are shut down
While the schools in Japan have been closed all over the country. Although International Olympics Committee still says that the Tokyo Olympics of 2020 will take place on time.
