“We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together. #BlackLives Matter.”
In an interview, they said they have also faced racism everywhere
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the BTS members said that they have also faced racism when they went to countries like US or India. And that’s another thing that makes them have empathy for the people who suffer because of racist people.
“When we’re abroad or in other situations, we’ve also been subjected to prejudice. We feel that prejudice should not be tolerated; it really has no place.”
While they said that they normally stay away from politics, this was something that was necessary to do. Suga said:
“Ours are initiatives that any person who wishes to live in a just world would want to pursue. We aren’t trying to send out some grandiose message…It’s about us being against racism and violence. Most people would be against these things.”
BTS fans are as amazing as BTS
BTS fans, known as the Army – also weren’t left behind. They matched the donation and added $1 million to the account of the Black Lives Matter foundation.
J-Hope said:
“We always want to do what we can to make it a better world, whether in Korea or elsewhere, and go in as much of a positive direction as we can, whether through our music or charity.”
