In another such recent study, an astounding 17000 bacterials gene copies were found on the phones of high school students. Like wow right, who would have thought. Also, another factor that makes your phone a bacterial hotspot is the heat that is released from it and the radiations which encourage these microbes to multiply.

How does all this get onto your phone?

Well, it’s simple. Our phones accompany us to the dirtiest places and we touch them in situations where we would usually wash our hands. Like say in the bathroom or after gardening or so on so. (I’ll leave the rest to your imagination!)

This habit of clinging on to our phones has gotten us in a bit of a pickle as our hands are the major culprits in transferring bacteria onto our phones.

Because people are always carrying their cell phones even in situations where they would normally wash their hands before doing anything, cell phones do tend to get pretty gross

While naturally existing bacterias on our bodies never did us any harm, sometimes your phone being infested with germs can give you a nasty infection or other ailments. For example, if you have the flu and forget to clean your hand while using your phone; another person who touches your phone for any reason is at a high risk of contracting the flu.

While serious illnesses are not much on the rampage due to phones, taking precautions is always best. So how do you clean out all this guck from your phone? It’s simple, just follow thee steps.

So start with keeping your hands clean. Always use a sanitizer after touching anything gross or any situation where you wouldn’t eat without washing your hands. Try using a natural sanitizer or a mild one if your skin is sensitive and you can also try using tea tree oil which is a natural disinfectant.

Next step is to have sanitizing wet wipes to clean your phone screen. Imagine sleeping on your phone and drooling all over ti and just using it the same way day after day. Yuck ain’t it, so, wet wipes can come in handy in these cases.

Also, when you give your phone to others, be sure to wipe it clean before using it, you never know what the other person may be carrying around in their hands. Just saying!

Also, lastly, make sure you don’t use your phone in places where you get your hands dirty and by doing so you’ll greatly reduce the microbial concentration on your phone.
