A former student shared a sarcastic goodbye note an English teacher left in her yearbook.
As we know it’s a tradition to sign shirts and yearbooks for the students graduating from high school.
Most of our friends write absurd and questionable things and as far as teachers are concerned, you expect them to write a professional note wishing you luck for future endeavors.
However, one such former student happened to find a ‘not so cliché’ note in her yearbook from her English teacher and cracked up the netizens.
Posting a picture of her yearbook on Twitter, Ash who goes by @Arcticashhh said: “Still can’t believe this is what my English teacher wrote in my book when I left school.”
The note says: “Ashleigh, sometimes I go home and can’t sleep because your annoying voice that just doesn’t stop keeps ringing in my ears, like the worst torture known to man. That is all. Good luck. Mr. Seedat.”
The tweet garnered more than 50K likes, as she captioned it: “Sarcasm at its finest bcos I barely even spoke in that class.
“Can I add, Mr. Seedat was a funny as f*** sarcastic teacher, I’m almost certain he wrote something just as funny in everyone else’s books.”
When her former classmates came to confirm that it wasn’t the case with them so Ash tracked down Mr. Seedat and sent him the picture of the note to confirm if he had written it in her yearbook.
In his response, the teacher said: “Oh my god. It was indeed.”
As the post went viral, one of the comments stated: “Oh my god I could only ever DREAM of being this annoying. Followed you, what an icon.”
Another jokingly said: “Bet you didn’t seedat coming when you asked him to write in there.”
Another revealed what their own teacher had written: “I can’t stop thinking about our second lesson together when you accused me of having a mid life crisis and since then, you caused me severe anxiety… but you always fell for my jokes.”
