Trump Builds A Wall Around White House, Protestors Decorate It With Powerful Messages

It’s now the third week since George Floyd was murdered by Derek Chauvin in broad daylight, and the protests haven’t been slowing down at all.

Protestors surrounded White House, while a spooked Donald Trump ran away to hide in his underground bunker with his wife Melania and “Melania’s son Barron.”

Later, the Secret Service surrounded the White House with a 8-ft tall fence. Now the same fence has been marked with the revolution as people have stuck protest signs, artworks, banners, memorials, and slogans on the fence.

Here are some of the most powerful and inspiring pictures:

After Trump hid in the bunkers and was trolled over the Internet with names like #BunkerBaby and #BunkerBitch, even his fence was given the nickname of #BabyGate.

Within hours, the protestors covered every inch of the fence with art and messages to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

A tribute to George Floyd

Now the pictures have gone viral as a showcase of people’s powerful voices against racism and white supremacy.

They have put up balloons for Breonna Taylor, a black woman who was killed by a white cop who broke into her house and shot her while she was sleeping.

Other signs call to defund the police and invest the money into things that are actually useful for the people.

Defund the police, invest in community support programs that actually reduce crime

Earlier, Trump wanted to have 10,000 members of the National Guard to patrol the streets and drive away the protest but then this idea was cancelled.

Instead, the police decided to gas the protestors and shoot them with rubber bullets to clear the space. Then Donald Trump walked out to the St. John’s Episcopal Church across the road for his photo-op with a reversed and inverted Bible.

What was their crime?

These protestors are gathered at Lafayette Square which is historically known for protests and free speech ceremonies, but Trump ordered an assault on Lafayette Square.

And even though he called himself a leader of “law and order”, the fact that he put a fence around the building while hiding in the bunker and then ordering an assault on people – showed to people how deep-seated fascism really is in the American form of governance.
