People still think that if you are young, healthy, and fit then you won’t catch Coronavirus. This actually makes a lot of young people careless and expose themselves to the deadly virus. And now Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man and winner of 8 Olympic gold medals, has tested positive for Coronavirus. He was being careless and brought it upon himself.
Bolt caught the virus after this careless birthday celebration
According to a press briefing by Jamaica’s health ministry, Usain Bolt got infected after he threw a big bash for his 34th birthday last week. There were no masks at his party nor there was any social distancing.
Now, he is self-isolating at his home.
He posted a video on social media, confirming that he was tested positive. Fans wished him a speedy recovery but also reprimanded him for being careless since Jamaica is now entering the second wave of Coronavirus.
Jamaica is handling the COVID-19, while USA continues to mess it up
The total number of cases in Jamaica has reached 1612 as compared to the 6 million of the USA – yet Jamaica has delayed reopening the schools and a nation-wide lockdown has been placed on the citizens. USA on the other hand, has declared Coronavirus as a liberal hoax and forced schools to reopen as kids keep getting infected and dying.
Jamaican government has said there will be no “special treatment” for Usain Bolt
Even the Jamaican Prime Minister has said there will be no special treatment for anyone who has been found breaking the rules in parties and other social events. They have even said that Usain Bolt will be interrogated:
“He has been formally notified — I’m told — by the authorities and in keeping with standard protocols once there is a positive case, irrespective of the individual, it triggers an approach to questioning, interrogation if you will, which would then follow through with contact tracing.”
