Somehow Fox News in alliance with a doctor has become spreading this notion that Coronavirus deaths in the US are being misrepresented. They believe that the deaths are being overcounted to hide the fact that COVID-19 isn’t causing as much damage.
The obvious failing for this claim is that it could be another corporate-funded ruse to enforce the early reopening where people’s lives are put in danger again.
But if you do believe that the real number of deaths is being exaggerated, read on:
A Republican senator believes that CDC is overcounting the deaths
Republican Senator Scott Jensen represents Minnesota and since he is also a doctor, he was interviewed on Fox News by Laura Ingraham where he uncovered some shocking facts.
Dr. Scott Jensen says “it’s ridiculous” when asked about the latest CDC’s guidance for certifying COVID-19 deaths and that the American Medical Association is now “encouraging” doctors to overcount coronavirus deaths across the country.
He claims that death certificates are showing “COVID-19 diagnosis” where there isn’t one
He received a 7-page document that showed him how to fill out a death certificate as a “COVID-19 diagnosis” even when there isn’t a lab test confirming the diagnosis.
In the interview, he goes on to say that “Right now Medicare is determining that if you have a COVID-19 admission to the hospital you get $13,000. If that COVID-19 patient goes on a ventilator you get $39,000, three times as much. Nobody can tell me after 35 years in the world of medicine that sometimes those kinds of things impact on what we do.”
So what do you want to believe?
However, he hasn’t presented any kind of evidence. Makes you wonder if all his words are hearsay.
But since he has represented no proof, and the privatized healthcare system of US has already been accused of downplaying the threat of this pandemic, it’s really your decision to make what you want to believe – corporations who want to show that Coronavirus isn’t killing so many people so that you should go out and work for them while risking your life, or the CDC which is telling you to stay home until the crisis blows over and no one has to gain anything out of this quarantine except you who will save your own life.
