Being grateful and humble shows how down-to-earth you’re. You might be used to seeing people thanking God for whatever good happens to them, which includes thanking God for food. But have you ever seen a dog doing so?
Recently, a grateful and patient Australian Shepherd dog is giving aww moments to netizens after a video showing him ‘say grace’ surfaced on the popular social media platform TikTok.
Willy, the Shepherd dog is one of its kind. He waits for his hooman to ‘bless’ his food at
the dinner table before he starts eating.
In the video, the smart and adorable doggo is pulling up a pew at the dinner table as his owner calls him for dinner and places his bowl with Willy’s name on it.
“It’s dinner time with Willy,” the owner says.
Dogs are rarely patient when it comes to food. But Willy who has a TikTok account with the username: @officialwillygooddog, is patient enough to let his owner say the grace before they start eating.
Willy’s video has already garnered over 8 million views. Willy is seen extending his paw out to place it on the owner’s hand at the dinner table.
And the owner says: “Let us pray. Dear heavenly Father, thank you for this amazing meal that mom prepared for us. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.”
Willy is waiting patiently until the grace ends. The video has received numerous comments.
Another dog owner responded to the video: “My dogs would have finished their bowls and our plates before the prayer was finished!”
Somebody else commented: “During prayer, he was praying for some of that mac and cheese.”
Another comment appreciating Willy stated: “He has better manners than my kids!”
Well, being disciplined and down-to-earth at the same time is not everyone’s cup of tea.
