Sachin’s Superfan Sudhir Watched IND VS ENG, 1st ODI Live

Sudhir, a 40-year-old from Bihar is a huge fan of Cricket and Tendulkar for a very long time now. Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary is a Teacher by profession who has crossed all the limits of fandom recently in the 1st ODI. He stood atop the hill to support India in its very first ODI of the year. On Tuesday he was seen with an Indian flag on a hill near the stadium his giant flag could be seen flying high from the stadium itself.

Sudhir isn’t just a fan he’s a mood and an inspiration for other cricket fans. All the fellow cricket fans and viewers recognize him well enough by face as he comes up to the stadium in the shades of the Indian flag. He paints his body in Indian colors and writes ‘Tendulkar’ on his bare body.

Fandom In COVID

Due to the recent scenario, BCCI decided to host all the ODIs behind closed doors, but Sudhir successfully fulfilled his desire, even COVID could not keep him from watching India play. Sudhir climbed the hill and reached the hilltop (Gahunje) to get a glimpse of the India vs England 1st ODI match.

The three-match ODI series, as the final three T20Is in Ahmedabad, is being played behind closed doors due to the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country.

Earlier this year, an English fan had done something similar when England visited Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series. The fan named Rob Lewis, stranded in Sri Lanka for over 10 months due to the coronavirus pandemic, climbed on Galle Fort to watch the SL vs ENG Test matches and support his nation. England captain Joe Root had even raised his bat and acknowledged Lewis’ support after completing his double hundred.

In the same manner, Sudhir supported India from the hills in Gahunje during the first ODI in Pune. He has been supporting the Indian cricket team for over a decade now and doesn’t miss any game.
