Miley Cyrus has more than 50 tattoos on her body and the number just keeps growing. During last few months after she separated from her long-time beau Liam Hemsworth, she has been adding rapidly to her tattoo collection.
Recently she just added two more tattoos, which were inked by celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Winter who shared the photos on Instagram.
Miley has always been very open and upfront about her tattoos, always sharing about how they look and what they mean. You can check out some of the most famous of Miley’s tattoos below:
“Just breathe” tattoo on her midriff
One of the first tattoos that Miley got was a “Just breathe” tattoo on her midriff, which she said was to honour a late close friend and her late ancestors:
I mean, breathing — that was something none of them could do, the most basic thing. And I put it near my heart, because that is where they will always be.
Dreamcatcher tattoo on her right side
It’s a picture of the dream catcher that hangs over her bed with four feathers to represent her four brothers and sisters… The dream catcher is to protect them.
Her late dog Floyd and a naked woman on her left side
Five years ago, Miley got a matching tattoo with her close friends as a tribute to her late dog, Floyd. It shows a drawing the dog with the quote “With a little help from my fwiends.”
Then she also got a tattoo of a naked woman with a baby, just below the Floyd tattoo.
Miley’s Johnny Cash tattoo
Miley Cyrus also has the legendary singer Johnny Cash’s signature on her arm which reads:
I’m in your corner.
Former US President Roosevelt’s quote on her arm
One of the famous quotes by former US President Roosevelt:
So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.
Her ex Liam Hemsworth, who was still with her during that time, he also got a tattoo from the same speech using the same script as on Miley’s arm.
The latest tattoo of Miley is called “Freedom” – as a celebration of separation from Liam Hemsworth
First one of Miley’s latest tattoos is “Freedom” written across her knuckles, and most people have said that it is probably a way for Miley to celebrate her divorce from Liam Hemsworth.
And the final tattoo is Yoko Ono telling Miley that she is proud of her
A handwritten note from classic artist Yoko Ono was etched in ink on Miley’s shoulder, as it says:
I’m proud of u, Yoko
All these latest tattoos were posted on Instagram by her tattoo artist Daniel Winter who has been known for inking many celebrities.
