Man Turns Himself Into Spider-Man

Who doesn’t wish to have superpowers?

Who doesn’t want to be a superhero?

Well, a 21-year-old Kiwi YouTuber, Liam Thompson is one such ardent superhero fan. Liam ‘turned himself into Spider-Man’ by solving a Mathematical problem and allowed himself to stick to walls.

The YouTuber watched a Flex Tape(a strong waterproof tape) ad and decided to put it to the test as it would have given him some great engaging content.

The YouTuber from New Zealand said: “So, if one piece of Flex Tape can lift 45 pounds, and I have two hands and feet, that’s 4 pieces of Flex Tape each lifting 45 pounds.

“45 x 4 = 180, I weigh less than 180 pounds I think, so in theory, I should be able to stick to a wall with Flex Tape.”

“So, if I’m going to stick to walls, and essentially become a superhero, I’m going to need a suit,” he continued.

Liam attached the flex tape to his old gloves and shoes to make his plan possible.

“I feel like this is my superhero origin story. If this works then it will be sick” Liam said.

He created his ‘super suit’, and built an unpainted wooden wall, and installed it in the garden.

“BTW – I’m going to end this video when I stick to the wall for 30 seconds.”

Liam’s first attempt didn’t go as expected, nothing stuck to the wall except for his shoes.

Liam went on to make ‘super-suit number 2’, this time with some more flex tape.

Although his second attempt was much better than the previous one, he couldn’t stay stuck to the wall like Spidey.

“When I thought of this video idea I pictured myself scaling the side of my house and getting onto the roof with Flex Tape. You idiot.

“If you are going to become a Flex Tape superhero, just take the stairs man. Take the elevator,” annoyed Liam said.

Liam proved that his mathematical calculation was accurate, and ensured success in his third attempt.

The YouTuber ended up sticking to the wall for 46 seconds and told his audience “Victory is mine. I’m Flex-Man.”
