Comparisun has reported that Jeff Bezos will be the world’s first trillionaire by 2026, and the Coronavirus pandemic is actually helping him get there much faster.
The Coronavirus pandemic has brought a very real economic disaster from which the world will never recover. And by economic disaster, it doesn’t mean that big corporations are not able to collect their profits.
This economic disaster has put poor people out of jobs, it has pilfered their savings, and shoved them into abject poverty.
On the other hand, the five richest people in the world have become even richer. Jeff Bezos has gained $28 billion just in the last three months.
He will gain $860 billion in the next 6 years

Since the local markets are closed during the lockdown, people are choosing to buy everything online. Amazon earned $75,000,000,000 in just the first three months of the Coronavirus crisis and now their profits have increased even further.
Jeff Bezos is currently worth $140 billion, and within just 6 years he’ll be racking up $860 billion and will be the first trillionaire humanity has ever known.
The report also shows that Mark Zuckerberg will be the youngest trillionaire of the world in 2036, at the age of 51.
More money than 179 countries and half the people of the world

When Jeff Bezos becomes a trillionaire, he will have more money than the combined GDP of 179 countries in the world. He alone will have more money than 50% of the world’s population.
Even now at $140 billion, if he spends $1.3 million then it’s the same as you spending $1. So if Jeff Bezos donates $100 million to a charity and you donate even a cent more than $76.92 then you have given more of your wealth than Jeff Bezos.
Yet Amazon employees are treated nothing better than slaves

Fact to be considered here is that while Amazon’s profits have skyrocketed and Jeff Bezos is on his way to become the biggest hoarder the world has ever seen, the employees of Amazon still suffer.
Amazon employees are putting their lives at risk every day, and the company hasn’t provided them with any masks or PPE which they have to arrange themselves. Amazon employees don’t get paid sick leaves, the number of leaves they could take is unrealistically low, and their wages haven’t been increased in years.
Compared to other biggest companies in the world, Amazon employees get paid the least.
If Jeff Bezos paid his fair share of taxes and paid his workers a starting salary of 80k a year, gave them awesome healthcare, 6 weeks vacation, maternity leave, and sick pay, I might be slightly less disgusted by his trillionaire status.
