Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been on a spree of putting himself into awkward stances. Every now and then, he says something ridiculous that misguides his fans more often than not.
There was a time when he believed he had invented a new form of transport when he was just talking about subways, and more recently he even claimed to know better than doctors when he suggested that this medicine could cure Coronavirus.
Now, he has taken a stand against the lockdown protocol and joined the league of American protestors.
Elon Musk wants people to have “freedom”

American states have placed orders that people should leave their homes only for essential purposes, and unnecessary loitering would result in fine and imprisonment.
On Wednesday he ranted saying that the government’s social distancing policies were “fascist” and American people had “the right to get out of their house and do whatever they want.”
CBS News intercepted a recording of him speaking:
“If somebody wants to stay in their house, that’s great. They can stay in their house and they should not be compelled to leave. But to say that they cannot leave their house and they will be arrested if they do, this is fascist. This is not democratic, this is not freedom. Give people back their goddamned freedom.”
He is just concerned about his own closed factories

But the real reason is Elon Musk is worried about losing profit. His company Tesla has made a humongous 32% growth this quarter despite the lockdowns in place. Many of his factories are still up and running, and none of his employees are on leave.
He is worried after California proposed shelter-in-place orders, and Musk claims that it will cause great harm to his company which is located in California.
“The extension of the shelter-in-place or frankly what I would call it, forcibly imprisoning people in their homes against all their constitutional rights … my opinion … and breaking people’s freedom in ways that are horrible and wrong and not why people came to America or built this country.”
He is going all guns blazing against the state policies

One of Tesla’s factories from San Francisco Bay Area is already closed by the government, and it was extended till May to contain the spread of the virus.
“What the f***. Excuse me. Outrage. So it will cause great harm, not just to Telsa, but many companies.”
Lockdown of this kind has helped contain the number of cases in the state.
But Tesla has made 32% growth in just 3 months, then why is he concerned?

But Elon Musk is not convinced. He still is vouching for a superficial ideal of “freedom” rather than actual safety.
“We are a little bit worried about not being able to resume production in the Bay Area and that should be identified as a serious risk. We only have two car factories right now, one in Shanghai and one in the Bay Area.”
And it’s very obvious that all of his freedom campaign is only for one cause which is to get his factory reopened so that he could keep reaping in the profit. He is still not satisfied after a huge profit and growth of 32% in just 3 months.
