Domino’s Japan Apologizes After Introducing a Pizza Insulting Euro 2020 Finalists

Everywhere, people are particular about certain things in life about which they have no bullshit tolerance policy. Currently, in England penalties hold the top spot in the list of such things including fish and chip pizza, and how to make a cup of tea.

The fusion food, which is only available in Japan at Domino’s has sparked an online controversy as people were seen divided over it.

It resulted in quite an uproar and Domino’s official Twitter account in Japan apologized after a man humorously tweeted: “Japan Dominos have invented a dish that insults both England and Italy.” To which the Domino’s account replied: “We are sorry our fish and chip pizza has caused so much trouble. We think it’s quite delicious. If you are in Japan and would like to challenge let us know.

“We may be able to work out a plan internally that we can offer to you for free.”

The listed ingredients of the dish were crispy fish and chips, lemon, potato slices, and basil, with a tartar sauce and tomato sauce base.

Netizens’ opinions were divided as some were unsure about the lemon slices, a sour fruit depicting a sour experience.

One guy tweeted: “I was about to say that I’d try it until I saw the whole ass lemon wedges. Nah sis you gotta drizzle it, not bake it into the whole pie.”

Another said: “There is NO way those whole lemon slices are gonna be good.”

“Eh, I’ve seen worse versions of fish and chips over here so it’s not too bad. The lemon is overdoing it a bit but it’s not like having lemon with fish and chips is unusual.

“I’m sure at this point the Italians are just numb to pizza abominations though lmao,” stated another.
