A researcher on the verge of discovering something very surprising about the COVID-19, was shot and killed by an unknown murderer.
According to the police, the researcher was a professor at the University of Pittsburgh and he was very close to making a discovery about the infamous Coronavirus.
Apparently, this incident is portrayed as a murder-suicide case as what they found later was even more disturbing.
The murderer killed Dr Liu, and then killed himself
The Ross Police Department found the researchers, Bing Liu, in his townhouse when he was dead. He had multiple gunshot wounds on his head, neck, torso and several other places.
Soon, the police found another man was found dead in his car. It is presumed that the second man killed Dr Liu and then came back to his car where he killed himself.
The second man’s identity remains unknown to the police. It could be possible that he killed himself to avoid any interrogation or probes which could reveal who is actually behind this killing.
Dr Liu was about to discover something “significant” about the Coronavirus
Police gave a statement saying that it is possible that Dr Liu knew the murderer personally, and it doesn’t seem like a racist murder attempt on the account of Dr Liu’s ethnicity.
Later, the university released a statement saying that Dr Liu was about to discover something very significant about the Coronavirus but he got killed before he could complete his research.
“Bing was on the verge of making very significant findings toward understanding the cellular mechanisms that underlie SARS-CoV-2 infection and the cellular basis of the following complications.”
There was another official statement expressing a eulogy to the professor and condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. His other colleagues have taken his research in their own hands and vowed to continue doing it on his behalf.
The unknown killer is dead, and the police are trying to hunt for more facts
Although, we are still waiting for complete information as the police discover more facts behind who the killer is. This will help us know whether this was a mere coincidence or a planned killing to prevent him from discovering something truly surprising about the virus.
If the latter is true, then we might be looking at the barrel end of a devious conspiracy here, and it would seem that the Coronavirus was artificially planted indeed.
But before any speculations can be made, we are still waiting for the complete facts.
