Culturally rich and on the bucket list of many, Japan is one of the most incredible places in the world. The world is surely catching up, but Japan continues to stay in the news for coming up with novel ideas. Here are some things that you will probably only find in Japan.

1. Robot-run Restaurants: Starting from finding yourself a table to placing the order and receiving the food at your table, everything is run by robots! Isn’t that cool?

3. Octopus-flavored Ice cream: Yes, it’s strange, weird, or whatever else you’ll call this. Ice cream is the dessert that brightens one’s mood, but octopus flavored? Hmm, most people would give it a pass!

4. Shortest elevator in the world: What’s the point of an elevator, anyway? You don’t have to climb too many stairs and make the climb or descend much easily. But an escalator that covers no more than four-five steps does sound different, doesn’t it?  I mean, does seem a little unnecessary, but’s there, and also holds a record for it.

5. A Monkey Park: We all have zoos, aquariums, safari rides, and the like. But a monkey park is one-of-a-kind. If you enjoy watching monkeys at play, it’s a good place to spend some time in monkey entertainment.

6. Capsule Hotel: Off late, capsule hotels have become pretty famous. A lot of countries have adopted the concept over the past few years, but Japan first stole the show. Affordable stay now made easy!
