We’ve been studying about the concept of recycling since forever. It isn’t just a cost-effective idea but also a resourceful for the environment. And then there’s also the option of giving it away to someone who needs it more than us because it’s been lying idle in our home. But if you have time for some creativity, then here’s some ideas on transforming ordinary items into something useful. Give these items a new purpose in your home, plus it also adds a new touch to your interiors. You can try these or garner some ideas to recreate some other ordinary products you might have lying around.
1. Candles in Wine Bottles- Why let the wax dribble and ruin the surfaces in your home when you can reuse the empty wine bottles as a candle stand?
2. Boxes transformed into baskets: If you have empty boxes lying around, then turn them into baskets. Wrap it with jute ropes and add an handle for extra touch.
3. Calendar made from cubes: If your kids have overgrown playing with blocks, then paint them a little and create a table calendar that lasts forever.
4. DIY mattresses- Don’t throw away the old pillows at home. Stitch them up together and roll them out whenever needed or carry them with you for picnics.
5. Magnet Cups- Stick some magnets to the cups, so they can stick to the water filter or fridge, making it an easy access when wanting to drink water. Plus, kids can independently get their water.
6. A hideout for the keys: We all want a place where we can hide spare keys. Put them in an old medicine box, and paste it under a rock or plant in your garden. It goes straight into the mud and no one else would find it either.
7. DIY Hopscotch- All you need are some rainbow sheets and paint the numbers on it. You can carry these around when you travel with kids too.
8. Transform bottles into vases- Brightly paint old lying around bottles and add whatever glitter you love. Decorate them with fresh or artificial flowers, as per your liking.
